About Eldkrind

Hello, I am Eldkrind. I am an artist from Norway currently working as a web designer. My hobbies inlcudes making comics, animation, crocheting and coding. I love learning new skills and I'm always trying something new. I was introduced to coding through college and quickly found out that it does not come naturally to me. But after 3 years as a web designer I've picked up enough to be able to create my own code and problem solve. I am currently learning how to use Javascript, which is definitely easier said than done.

31 Day Artist

I'm the creator of the art challenge "31 Day Artist" where I learn new skills that will cumulate to a single finished art piece at the end of the month. The focus of the challenge is to not focus on quantity, but instead the quality of what you're focusing your time on. For example it makes no sense to spend a whole month learning how to ink if you're only interested in lineless illustrations.
Artists often feel like they have to master techniques, art styles, mediums and their tools before they can start making the art they want. I believe that art becomes more enjoyable when you practice for a limited time before trying out your new skills on an art piece. After all it's about the journey, not the destination. That way you're improving and experimenting while creating lots of art you want to create instead of waiting to start once you know everything (which may be impossible to achieve).
